Code of Practice and Ethics

 

The Code of Practice and Ethics for Instructors of Yoga Practice takes into consideration that the Student is treated in a confidential, respectful and safe manner at all times.

  • The Instructor/Student must conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Be pleasant and courteous to Instructors/Students at all times.
  • All classes should run with Health and Safety as the main priority.
  • Students and Instructors should respect the religious, spiritual, social and political views of clients, irrespective of colour, sex, race or creed.
  • Always fully explain what classes/courses offer and discuss fees before the class/course begins.
  • Keep up-to-date records of classes/courses.
  • Market classes professionally.
  • Never give unqualified advice.
  • Never disclose client information unless requested to do so by law.
  • Keep personal and professional life separate.
  • Ensure the class environment complies with current health, safety and hygiene legislation.
  • Be insured by a recognised organisation within the relevant professional body.
  • Continue professional development.
