Code of Practice and Ethics
The Code of Practice and Ethics for Instructors of Yoga Practice takes into consideration that the Student is treated in a confidential, respectful and safe manner at all times.
- The Instructor/Student must conduct themselves in a professional manner.
- Be pleasant and courteous to Instructors/Students at all times.
- All classes should run with Health and Safety as the main priority.
- Students and Instructors should respect the religious, spiritual, social and political views of clients, irrespective of colour, sex, race or creed.
- Always fully explain what classes/courses offer and discuss fees before the class/course begins.
- Keep up-to-date records of classes/courses.
- Market classes professionally.
- Never give unqualified advice.
- Never disclose client information unless requested to do so by law.
- Keep personal and professional life separate.
- Ensure the class environment complies with current health, safety and hygiene legislation.
- Be insured by a recognised organisation within the relevant professional body.
- Continue professional development.
